Tough Love vs. Spanking
(a psychological conundrum)

One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together.
I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique. (scroll down to view photo)

LOL! At least it would get the child’s attention. But my son would think that was “way cool.” Come to think of it, I don’t think there are any child safety restraint laws for kids riding OUTSIDE the car.
Legal Disclaimer for the Humor-challenged: I would not in real life promote this behavior and am responding in the same tongue -in-cheek tone as this was conveyed. Sheesh!
Yeah, my dh’s boss sent this to him, and he wrote back to his boss that it wasn’t going to work in our family, as now our boys were begging him to do it! His boss wrote back that that was “a typical boy response, the little buggars!”
Hmmm….I’ll have to try that one…Thanks for the spanking “alternative.” Guess we’re just not part of the “in” crowd. Spanking seems to be working here in our home. LOL I bet it’s working in yours, too.
