I bought a Bosch mixer and Nutrimill (grain mill) at the homeschool convention last weekend! I needed it for making bread. I have been making homemade loaves for over a month now. This new Bosch will make about 6 loaves at a time! Compare that to the 2-3 loaves that my Kitchen Aid mixer can handle, and that saves me a LOT of time. I have been experimenting with different recipes. I use whole wheat flour, honey, and olive oil. I would like to get a supply of coconut oil and try it. So far, the kids and Craig have liked every one I have made, even if it didn’t rise very well!
My children are not picky eaters. We have never allowed them to be, so I believe that is why they are willing to try many things. They like things that I don’t even care for! Naomi and Ivan (3 and 5 years old) love green olives, and Ivan even likes jalepenos! He says, “They’re not too spicy! I love them!”

Wow – the mixer sounds great… I wish I could get into more bread making, I don’t have a mixer at all though.
As for your children not being picky eaters, how did you not let them be? We have tried SO hard but somehow it seems not to work out so well. Any suggestions?
Jamie, we encourage our children to at least try things. They don’t have to like it, but if it is served for dinner they have to at least have 3-4 bites, and they usually have to clear their plate in order to have dessert or snacks later.
Ben (our oldest) didn’t like cheese when he was about 5. I would try to minimize the amount of cheese on his portion, but a lot of times, there was still cheese in the food that he was required to eat. He finally outgrew his dislike for cheese, but still doesn’t like to have too much.
Naomi has been my most finicky eater by far. She will eat most everything if I *feed* her (which at 3yo is ridiculous!), but otherwise she eats like a bird. I am sure she gets that from me, as I am told I was the same way when I was little. *blush*
Anyway, I hope this answers your question. 😉
